Especially in times when a large number of people work in the home office and depend on fast and secure network performance, suitable SOHO solutions are sought. In all forms of home network setup (Residential Network Solution) and office sizes (Small Office Solution), a central network node handles the entire connection and ensures secure communication between the devices and the Internet.
✓ Stable connection
✓ Optimal data protection through our UPS systems
✓ Individual, structured network expansion adapted to your needs
✓ Flexible and continuous expandability of your network infrastructure
As an option, the mesh system (DN-7071) can be extended with further repeaters (DN-7070) to pass the signal across several rooms or walls and ensure excellent WLAN reception. The DIGITUS® Wireless USB adapters support the quick and easy connection of your WLAN-capable devices to the network. Our Multifunction Network Server allows you to connect up to four additional devices to the network via USB ports and make them available to users.
In order to integrate a fixed desktop workstation into the network, the extension with the Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express network card (DN-10130) and the desktop switch with 5 (DN-80063) or 8 ports (DN-80064) is the optimal solution. The design of the switches is compact and can be installed inconspicuously in the office.
To enable you to comfortably integrate several workstations into the network - without losing an overview of your IT infrastructure - we have developed the DIGITUS® 10 inch network cabinet. Using the appropriate 10" Gigabit Ethernet switches, you get the ideal solution for the small network area with a fast data transfer speed of up to 2000 Mbit and bandwidth control at each port. These were developed with 8 (DN-80114) or 16 ports (DN-80115) to meet the most diverse requirements. A UPS system provides reliable protection against data loss and voltage damage in the office or home office. DIGITUS® has four systems in it's portfolio to bridge short-term power failures and provide time for the safe shutdown of your own server or PC.
You can expand your network with the DIGITUS® 10 " 8 Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE Switch (DN-95317) to include PoE-enabled devices such as IP cameras. To supply the connected PoE devices with power, the LAN switch has a power budget of 96 watts, whereby a single port can already provide 30 watts.
Ideal for small to medium-sized networks are our LAN switches for 10" network cabinets. The DIGITUS® 8 port (DN-80114) or 16 port (DN-80115) 10 inch Gigabit switches have RJ45 sockets with auto-negotiation. The 10-inch 8 port Gigabit Ethernet PoE switch (DN-95317) can also be installed in a 10" network cabinet and connect the workstations with up to 1000 Mbit.
If no network cabinet is used, workstations can also be connected to desktop switches. The DIGITUS® Gigabit Desktop Switches have 5 (DN-80063) or 8 (DN-80064) ports. These switches are a simple, fast and cost-effective way to connect small network groups.
DIGITUS® offers two different UPS solutions that reliably protect offices or home offices from data loss and voltage damage, as they compensate for voltage fluctuations.
The Line-Interactive UPS series is offered with a capacity of 1000 VA/600 W (DN-170074) or 2000 VA/1200 W (DN-170076). Our UPS systems provide an uninterruptible power supply in a compact size and with excellent microprocessor control. 2 protective contact sockets (CEE 7/7) are available for the power supply of your components.
Our DIGITUS® All-in-One UPS systems offer capacities of 600VA/360W (DN-170110) and 800VA/480W (DN-170111) as well as an LED display for the operating status. For the power supply of your devices, the systems also offer 4 protective contact sockets (CEE 7/7) and 3 IEC C13 sockets. For mobile devices they also include a USB charging port.
The meshing of several access points in the same WLAN network has several advantages. If, for example, a mobile device moves towards a stronger WLAN signal, manual registration at the new access point is no longer necessary and the device is automatically supplied with the stronger WLAN signal.
For optimum reception quality in larger rooms or across different rooms, we recommend adding further repeaters (DN-7071) to the basic unit (DN-7070). In this case, one repeater should be used at a distance of approximately 10 metres.
If the devices are not WLAN capable or optimized, data can be transferred at high speed (300 Mbps) with the USB 2.0 adapters from DIGITUS®. The WPS button makes encryption simple and convenient.
The DIGITUS® USB 2.0 Adapter Tiny Wireless (DN-70542) is particularly small, handy and ideal for use in an apartment. For a particularly strong network signal, which is needed in larger buildings, we have the DIGITUS® 300Mbps USB 2.0 Wireless Adapter (DN-70543) with antenna in our portfolio.
The DIGITUS® 4-Port USB 2.0 Wireless Multifunction Network Server (DN-13023) is a wireless all-in-one solution with integrated print server, NAS and network USB hub. The product connects to existing WLAN and links other devices such as hard drives, printers or scanners.
The result is a work island for small businesses that is accessible to the users. The Network Server achieves transfer rates of up to 100 Mbps and offers secure 64/128-bit WEP, WPA or WPA2 encryption.
If there is no WLAN or if a larger amount of data is required to be sent via a network cable, Ethernet adapters are used. The Gigabit Ethernet 3.0 adapter (DN-3023), which reaches speeds of 1000 Mbit/s, allows all devices that do not have an RJ45 interface (such as ultrabooks, netbooks, notebooks, etc.) to be connected to the network in no time at all.
Using the DIGITUS® Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express network card (DN-10130), PCs can be equipped with an additional Gigabit connection via PCI Express. In addition, two networks (for example in production and administration) can be connected with each other. It also accelerates slower networks tenfold from 10 Gigabit to 1000 Gigabit, for example.
The DIGITUS® Category 6A Class EA patch cables are ideal for use in SOHO networks, because with a performance of up to 500 MHz they also meet the increased bandwidth requirements at speeds of ten gigabits per second and are also PoE-capable. Our patch cables are available in lengths from 0.25 m to 30 m.
Components in the compact 10 inch format are the basis for functional and flexible solutions in the field of SOHO network technology. Due to the increasing demand for smart home and broadband Internet applications, more and more networked components are finding their way into modern buildings. They should be installed and networked as centrally as possible in the house, office or apartment. The 10-inch technology can implement professional network solutions even where space is very limited. DIGITUS® offers coordinated components that meet all requirements of modern network technology.

Passive technology: The DIGITUS® infrastructure products guarantee an optimal transmission speed while simultaneously maximising the connection security of your data. The right choice of connection component depends on the number of required ports (workstations), the desired transmission rate and the cable types installed (CAT 6, CAT 7 ...).
If many network end devices such as servers, PCs, displays, printers, routers, NAS systems or even smart TVs and game consoles are operated in your network, these devices must be connected to each other via an Ethernet switch. Ethernet switches differ basically in the number of ports and the maximum data throughput. A distinction is made here between Fast Ethernet with 100 Mbit/s and Gigabit Ethernet with 1,000 Mbit/s (1 Gbit/s). If you want to operate devices in your network that cannot be supplied with power at the place of use or only with a poor power supply (e.g. access points or IP cameras ...),
it is recommended to use a switch with PoE (Power over Ethernet) support. This particular type of switch supplies PoE-compatible network devices with the required operating current. An additional connection of the terminal device to the power supply network is not necessary with PoE technology.
In order to ensure the optimal functionality of your network, in addition to the active and passive network components, useful accessories for your 10 inch cabinet are also available.
Here DIGITUS® offers a variety of useful accessories.
